România Literară is a weekly magazine. The first edition of the magazine was published 11th of October 1968. Its target group is composed mostly of people interested in literary and cultural problems, both locally and worldwide, and in the exchange of ideas and opinions in the area. Its circulation is around ten thousand. The journal is edited by the Romanian Literary Foundation and supported by the Foundation "Anonimul", the Romanian Writers Association, the Ministry of Culture and the Romanian Bank for Development Discontinued in 2003.
