"Regional and Local Studies" ("Studia Regionalne i Lokalne") is a leading Polish quarterly journal in empirical analysis as awell as theoretical development in the field of regional and local studies. It is published by the Centre for European Regional and Local Studies (University of Warsaw) and Polish Section of the Regional Studies Association. It focuses on economic, social, environmental and political aspects of regional and local development, both in national and international perspective. All articles in the journal have undergone peer review, based on preliminary editor screening and anonymized refereeing. The Centre for European Regional and Local Studies (EUROREG) [Centrum Europejskich Studiów Regionalnycyh i Lokalnych (EUROREG) - Uniwersytet Warszawski oraz Regional Studies Association - Sekcja Polska] based at the University of Warsaw is Poland's leader in interdisciplinary research and education in the field of regional and local studies and policies. Since 2002 the Centre has been a part of the Institute of America and Europe.The Centre offers four-semester postgraduate (MA) programmes in Spatial Economy and two postgraduate programmes: the Academy of Regional Development (ARR) and the Academy of Evaluation (AE). EUROREG cooperates with a large number of scientific and research institutions, organisations and universities, and is also engaged in many wide-ranging projects, analyses and expert’s studies. The Centre is a partner or a coordinator of many seminars or conferences, also international, and has a broad offer of publications, mostly in Polish, and, though less so, in English. The Regional Studies Association is a learned society concerned with analysis of regions and sub national issues. Through the international membership RSA provides an authoritative voice of, and network for, academics, students, practitioners, policymakers and interested lay people in the field of regional studies. Polish Sections of the Regional Studies Association was established in 1998.
