The Central and Eastern Review

The Central and Eastern Review is published by the Department of Central and East European Intercultural Studies of the Faculty of Applied Linguistic at University of Warsaw. It is a yearly scientific magazine of interdisciplinary character devoted to the wide understanding cultural issues in a broader sense and dealing with subjects related to the study of the history, culture, literature and language of the countries and nations of Central and Eastern Europe. The subject area problem-theme scope is not strictly defined; we are open to authors from different scientific fields: historians, cultural scientists, literary scholars, linguists, sociologists and representatives of other fields of science. The Central and Eastern Review is a magazine of international scope. We cooperate with many scientific research centres in Poland and abroad. The Scientific Council and team of reviewers are experienced scholars from Poland and abroad. The yearly magazine The Central and Eastern Review is divided into the following thematic sections: articles and papers, documents and materials, reviews and discussions, scientific chronicle. Within this framework, it comprises papers and studies dealing the problems of the history, culture, literature and languages of the Central and Eastern European regions as well as reports of the most important scientific and popular scientific events concerning Central and Eastern European issues. The journal periodical is addressed to scientists as well as all those who are interested in the past and present of the region of Central and Eastern Europe. The working languages of the journal are the languages of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and English.
