Świat i słowo
The semi-annual “Świat i Słowo” (“World and Word”) started coming out in 2003. It is an academic journal publishing texts from fields of study such as: literary studies, social sciences, and theology. Individual issues are normally monographic in their character, each presenting a topic common for all texts from various research perspectives. The journal is divided into two sections: Studies and Analyses, and Miscellaneous. The former, the larger section, contains articles and essays by philosophers, psychologists, historians, sociologists, literary and film scholars, and other experts from the field of broadly understood humanities. Each text published in the journal receives a double blind review from two independent experts in a given field. The journal publishes texts in Polish and in English, and their full versions are available on the journal’s website as well as in the following databases: The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (CEJSH), ERIH plus as well as Bazhum. The journal is also indexed in the Index Copernicus database. The most recent parametrisation performed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education awarded the journal 9 points.
