Józef Grycz, one of the most eminent librarians, significantly contributed to organizing libraries. In 1928-1930 he managed the Kórnik Library. Later he worked in the Ministry of Religious Denominations and Public Enlightenment, and was responsible for establishing the National Library. A proposal for organizing a network of public libraries, elaborated by Grycz, was brought to a parliamentary commission in 1934, yet it was implemented only during the times of the People’s Republic of Poland. Most notably,in the times of the Second Republic Grycz developed unified rules for alphabetical catalogues which he then introduced throughout Poland. During the Nazi occupation he was the manager of the National Library, transformed into the Second Branch of Staatsbibliothek Warschau. Approved at this position by Polish underground resistance movement, he provided illicit access to and protected the library holdings. The course book entitled Bibliotekarstwo praktyczne w zarysie (1945) written by Grycz provided foundations for the process of restoring Polish libraries.

The author points out, at the same time, the most urgent needs for biographical studies on the staff of the Ossolinski National Institut.

The development of the Polish bibliological biography is best evidenced by the number of biographical directories and collective biographies of book people. In the analysis of publications from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, the emphasis was placed on the involvement of cultural and scientific institutions in the creation of those publications. In the article, the author presents the contributions of particular institutions to the development of bibliological biographies. In particular, the following institutions are involved in this process: the Słownik pracowników książki polskiej Laboratory by the Chair of Library and Information Science at the University of Lodz; the Old Polish Bibliography Laboratory at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences; Polish Librarians’ Association; Wroclaw Librarians’ Corporation; Kujawy and Pomerania Cultural Society; Lublin Society of Book Lovers; and numerous libraries. The aforementioned institutions were presented against the background of biographical directories which they helped create.

The article is devoted to assessing the didactic possibilities of using modern CASIO graphing calculators in a university course in econometrics. It is shown how it is possible to conduct a graphical analysis of economic processes in the housing market using real data from Rosstat open sources. It is shown how to identify a trend and a trend start point, how to forecast a trend development using the computing capabilities and the mathematical apparatus of the correlation and regression analysis of the CASIO fx-CG20 graphical calculator. Particular attention is paid of the analysis of the data obtained.

There are many science-based approaches in the specialized literature aimed at minimizing the costs associated with inventory in an organization. Most of these methods are universal in their nature and do not take into account the characteristic conditions of the activities in each particular organization. This paper proposes a modification of Wilson‘s classic inventory management model, which considers some of the specifics of inventory in a construction enterprise.

In view of this, the advantages and requirements for organizing and operating such a market have been systematically examined, such as the rules on admission of financial instruments and disclosure of information, the requirements for advisers and trading on this market, etc. Basic data on the development of the capital market and measures to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises are also presented. On the basis of this, however, it is concluded that the development of such a market has its own reasons, but at the same time it will be quite difficult.
