INFORMATICS IN EDUCATION An International Journal Aims and Scope ----------------------------------------------------- INFORMATICS IN EDUCATION provides an international forum for presenting the research and practice of professionals and educators in the interaction of teaching and informatics. It is a satellite journal of the international journal Informatica (http://www.vtex.lt/informatica) and is published biannually. It addresses all the issues related to research on informatics in education. The main objectives are: • support the growing interest in information technologies in education; • explorations on education development using various formal methods; • practical uses of technologies and how they related to academic learning; • methodology of teaching algorithms and programming skills; • multidisciplinary discussions on the educational software; • problems in different areas related to applied informatics; • studies of informatics for the humanities; • issues concerning of the open source software in education.
