Short Description

ARGUMENT is an open access online periodical in philosophy published twice a year. We also publish a small number of printed copies (for archiving, libraries and authors). The Editors of the journal invite scholarly studies in history of philosophy and papers reporting the ongoing debates in contemporary philosophy, representing verious currants of philosophical inquiry, including continental, analytic and non-western traditions and comparative perspectives. Moreover, in the scope of our interest there are interdisciplinaty papers undertaking philosophical problems in terms of other scientific disciplines. We also publish polemical papers, responses and interviews, book reviews by professional philosophers and postgraduate students. Besides we are open to critical and innovative suggestions concerning teaching methods and the purpose of up-to-date philosophical education. All articles in the journal are double blind-refereed. We publish contributions of the Polish and international scholars presenting their original research in philosophy as well as interdisciplinary studies engaging other branches of humanities, social studies and sciences. We publish papers in English, Polish and German in the following sections: (1) articles and treatises, (2) polemics, debates and interviews, (3) translations into Polish, (4) teaching philosophy, (4) reviews, notes and reports, (5) obituaries and memories, (6) anouncements and invitations.
