Short Description
Anuarul Arhivei de Folclor (Yearbook of the Folklore Archive), ISSN 1220-3661, is the scholarly journal of the "Arhiva de Folclor a Academiei Române" Institute, Cluj-Napoca Branch of the Romanian Academy. Founded by Ion Mușlea in 1932, the journal has been published in three successive series: Series I (no. I–VII, 1932–1945), Series II (no. I–XVII / VIII–XXIV, 1980–1996, edited by Ion Taloș and Ion Cuceu), and Series III (no. XXV onwards, from 2022, edited by Mihai Bărbulescu). The Anuar publishes peer-reviewed studies, articles, and research materials in folkloristics, ethnology, cultural anthropology, and related disciplines, with a particular focus on Romanian and Central- and South-Eastern European traditions. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent specialists. Current articles are published in open access under a Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence, in adherence with COPE publication ethics standards.
