Short Description

National Security Studies is a scientific journal that has been published continuously since 2011. In the first year of its existence, the journal was a semi-annual. In the years 2012-2014, our magazine was an annual. In the years 2014-2020, it was issued again in the form of a semi-annual. However, from 2021 our journal appears as a quarterly.

"National Security Studies" are indexed by the National Library under the number ISSN: 2082-2677. The editorial office declares that the paper version of this journal is the original version.

The journal presents the results of safety research, especially regarding:

  • research methodology and security theory,
  • organization and configuration of security systems at local, national and international levels,
  • identification, analysis and evaluation of threats,
  • methods and techniques of preventing and responding to threats and crisis situations,
  • education for security,
  • historical, philosophical and normative aspects of security,
  • interdisciplinary issues security,
  • cryptology and cybersecurity.

Reviews of books and scientific articles are also published.

Mainly scientific articles in the field of security and defense sciences are accepted for publication in the journal. Articles in the field of management, economics, sociology, psychology, philosophy, political science, history, law, energy and IT are also published, if they present research related to security issues and obtain the approval of the Editorial Board.
