Short Description

Chôra is a scholarly multilingual journal (English, French, Italian, German) dedicated to the researches in the field of philosophy of Byzantine and Latin Antiquity and Middle Ages. The journal was founded by Anca Vasiliu, Alexander Baumgarten and Bogdan Tataru-Cazaban in 2003. The founding directors are assisted by an editorial committee and an international scientific committee. Chôra publishes, after a selection by the scientific committee, articles, critical editions, notes and reviews. Three university research centers are involved in the publication of the journal: - "Léon Robin" Center of CNRS and of Paris-Sorbonne University (Paris IV) - Center for Ancient and Medieval Philosophy at the "Babes-Bolyai" University of Cluj-Napoca - Institute of History of Religions at the Romanian Academy of Bucharest. Chôra review is published by the Polirom publishing house. It is sold in bookstores in Romania and distributed in France by Librairie philosophique J. Vrin.
