Summary/Abstract: Worse-than-expected economic data and surprising interventions in the Chinese market have created a sense of uncertainty about the world’s second-biggest economy. Although the recent volatility is temporary, slower GDP growth for China may lead to a slowdown of global economic growth, while the troubles undermine confidence in the Chinese economic model and President Xi Jinping’s team policy. To avoid being too vulnerable to changes in China, Poland should develop diversified cooperation with the PRC under the Silk Road framework, but also strengthen relations with other non-European markets.
