Summary/Abstract: The March survey of the "hidden economy" in the business sector covered 537 companies accross the country. It involved an expanded sample comprising another joint-stock companies. To ensure proper comparative analysis, the main conclusions in the present paper are based on data excluding the added joint-stock companies, i.e. covering 437 companies. Fieldwork took place in the period february 28 - March 24, 2003. The survey employed the method of the face-to-face interview.
