Summary/Abstract: Within the so-called “Balkan routes” of migrants to Western European countries, Serbia is still a current transit country through which migrants pass intensively. Even last year, when we faced the COVID-19 pandemic for the first time and when the state of emergency was in force in the country for almost two months, with significant restrictions on movement, 24,250 migrants entered Serbia.
