Summary/Abstract: Serbia has largely continued its alignment patterns with the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) in 2024, similar to previous years, when Serbia’s alignment rate was 48 percent in 2022 and 54 percent in 2023. In 2024, Serbia’s alignment rate reached 59 percent, which represents progress. However, this percentage remains the lowest among the Western Balkan EU candidate countries. As highlighted in previous reports, the alignment percentage is only a descriptive category indicating the general alignment trend. Key issues are specific areas where Serbia has not achieved alignment. Foreign policy declarations and measures can cover a wide range of issues, from the introduction, amendment or renewal of restrictive measures against certain countries, to declarations related to the marking of dates of key importance for the international community.
