Summary/Abstract: The election of Donald Trump as the new American president represents a new global reality. Elon Musk is increasingly becoming the spokesperson for the new American foreign policy and the new reorganization within the United States. The USA is facing numerous internal challenges, while on the global scene it is trying to regain its strong leadership. The first test for the new US administration will be stopping the war in Ukraine and Gaza. After these moves, there will be clearer hints of the policy towards Russia and China. The Western Balkans will certainly not be a priority of American foreign policy, but in any case there will be a need to resolve the complicated situation in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the situation in North Macedonia is worsening in the meantime. It remains to be seen how the new American administration will look at the individual countries of the Western Balkans, it will be especially important to take the position of the USA towards Serbia. The question arises whether countries that have strong relations with Russia and China will be able to count on stronger support from the Trump administration.
