Summary/Abstract: The statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a federal state unit, within the Democratic Federal Yugoslavia, in terms of the establishment of state institutions, is built by the decisions of the Second Session of ZAVNOBiH (Zemaljsko antifašističko vijeće narodnog oslobođenja Bosne i Hercegovine, Sanski Most 1944). At this session, the Decision on the Organization and Organization of the People's Liberation Committees and the Declaration on the Rights of Citizens were adopted, guaranteeing the democratic freedoms of citizens as individuals and the equality of the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the Third Session of ZAVNOBiH, in liberated Sarajevo in 1945, ZAVNOBiH grew into a temporary National Assembly and passed the Law on the Formation of the First People's Government of Federal Bosnia and Herzegovina.
