Summary/Abstract: In the last decade, the Republic of Serbia has made significant strides in its socio-economic and political development. It successfully (re)positioned itself on the regional international political scene. However, the still unfinished dialogue between official Belgrade and Priština represents a big burden for Serbia's ambitious economic development projects. Due to the non-introduction of sanctions, Russia found itself under strong pressure, which it quite successfully amortized with a correct attitude towards Ukraine. In addition to the war in Ukraine, the events in Gaza have strong consequences for the world, and Serbia is no exception. Serbia is also paying a high price for its military neutrality. The increase in the investment rating, economic growth and the budget deficit of less than three percent instill hope in Serbia's economic prospects.
