Summary/Abstract: The International Institute IFIMES believes that the upcoming presidential elections in the Republic of North Macedonia are extremely important for the future of the Republic of North Macedonia, as they will decide on the continuation of positive political processes and changes, the accelerated continuation of reforms and the new international repositioning of the RSM as a member of NATO and the acceleration of negotiations with the EU. The opposite situation would lead to the blocking of further democratization processes and repeated obstructions, which could return the Republic of North Macedonia to the period before the overthrow of Nikola Gruevski's regime.
