Summary/Abstract: The CURE Foundation is a feminist and activist organisation committed to building a society based on equality, justice and solidarity. Since its establishment on 7th November 2005, CURE has worked tirelessly to advance the rights of women and girls, with a special focus on those from marginalised communities. As an anti-militarist and anti-fascist organisation, CURE promotes a culture of non-violence and actively opposes all forms of discrimination. It empowers women who are often excluded from public life – including Roma women, women with disabilities, lesbian, bisexual and trans* women, single mothers, older women and survivors of violence – advocating for their equal participation in every sphere of society. Through education, art, advocacy and street activism, the CURE Foundation creates spaces of freedom and safety for women and girls. With innovative approaches and strong cooperation with partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and internationally, we continue to strengthen feminist movements and build inclusive communities. Our work is focused on generating systemic change. Through campaigns, research, informal educational programmes and creative initiatives, we promote gender equality, holistic security for women and their active engagement in political and social life. The CURE Foundation sees itself as a driving force for social transformation – an organisation that connects, empowers and leads the changes needed to build a society in which women are fully equal, free to make decisions about their lives and present in all decision-making processes.
