Summary/Abstract: The concept of social enterprises was rarely discussed for ten years, counting from the period when it began to be implemented in a significant number of countries, while the international literature on this topic has been developing significantly in the last few years. Also, there is a noticeable increase in the number of countries, especially former socialist countries, which are showing increasing affection towards the concept of social enterprise (and wider social economy) by adjusting their legislation and creating the conditions for the concept to really become part of their systems.
