Summary/Abstract: All those actors involved in integration usually make an effort to find the latest, comprehensive research and analysis data on which to base their policies, proposals for change and projects to achieve equality in their country. However, they often encounter unreliable, outdated information and partial statistics that are not too useful and are far from having a real impact on the lives of the people to whom they need to bring some improvement. Migrant Integration Policy Development Index (MIPEX) is a reference guide and fully interactive tool for assessing, comparing and improving integration policies. It measures the development of integration policies in 31 European and North American countries by providing an overview of integration policies in different settings. MIPEX was created in these countries with the help of the British Council and the Migration Policy Group. Using 148 indicators, MIPEX determines the extent to which all residents have equal rights and responsibilities, as well as support that matches their specific needs, all with the goal of making equal opportunities a reality.
