Summary/Abstract: Migration policy is not a big issue only in the countries of the Western Balkans, but equally in the EU. Many highly skilled people from Western Balkan countries emigrate to EU countries or Unites States for different reasons: employment, further education, better life standards... Not only people from Western Balkan countries prefer working in the United States, but many European scientists and researchers. United States are still regarded as ‘land of opportunities’ even for highly educated Europeans. As for people from this part of the world, better practice in the field of social benefits in the United States and the EU countries and overall conditions of employment are still great motivators for their further migrations.
