Summary/Abstract: The Republic of Macedonia unilaterally adhered to the European Code of Conduct on Arms Exports in November 2004. In June 2010 the Republic of Macedonia aligned with the COUNCIL COMMON POSITION 2008/944/CFSP of 8 December 2008 defining common rules governing control of exports of military technology and equipment. It is Macedonia’s strong belief that the promotion of responsible export control and arms transfers strengthens global and especially regional security.
