Summary/Abstract: The implementation of the competition policy ensures the improvement of the economic efficiency of market actors and the optimization of resource allocation, which has a beneficial effect on the economic growth and productivity of market participants. The competition of providers on the market generally affects the formation of lower prices, better quality and more diverse goods and services for consumers, as well as the increase of production, ie the creation of sustainable jobs. At the same time, functional competition is the guarantor of successful European integration, not only in terms of the fulfillment of formal conditions, but also the successful operation of Serbia as a future member state.
