Summary/Abstract: We often hear how members of the European Commission and the European Parliament transform into lobbyists and start working for the private sector at the end of their mandate. We also often hear that corporate interests influence EU public policies, without much regard for the ordinary citizen. However, is everything as it is claimed to be? In a recent comment for CEP, Sofia Tzortzi explained the concept of lobbying, what kind of activities it includes and who are the people who lobby in the EU.
