Summary/Abstract: Russian aggression has created new realities on the European continent to which the current European neighborhood framework is no longer ideally suited. A reviewed ENP and EaP should be at the heart of the EU’s foreign policy towards the Union’s immediate neighbors. A genuine commitment to the ENP by its EU members is needed in the face of Russian efforts to undermine the policy’s effectiveness. Preventing a further decline in the EU’s attractiveness and the ENP’s legitimacy by means of increasing differentiation among partners and providing an honest reassessment of priorities from its member states is paramount.
