Summary/Abstract: The draft on the state tax for contestations was put forward and adopted at the same time as the allocation of additional resources to the national authority for the resolution of contestations, invoking the increase in the complexity and volume thereof, as well as the commitments to increase the transparency and efficiency of public procurement and the access of SMEs to procurement. The introduction of the tax also contradicts the National Programme for the Development of the Public Procurement System for 2023-2026 and exposes public procurement to exaggerated costs and high level of risks of fraud and corruption.
