Summary/Abstract: In February 2025, the European Commission and the Republic of Moldova agreed on a comprehensive two-year strategy for energy independence and resilience, as well as on immediate support for paying energy bills. According to this strategy, total support to the Republic of Moldova for 2025 will reach EUR 250 million. Taking into account the upcoming funding, but also other factors that determined the need to rectify the state budget, the Government of the Republic of Moldova approved, during the Cabinet meeting of 03.04.2025, the draft law no. 310/2024 on amending the Law on the state budget for 2025. The announcements about the drafting of the draft law and the initiation of public consultations were published on the same day (on 03.04.2025), and the draft law was approved in the first reading by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova on 07.04.2025
