Summary/Abstract: This research paper offers an initial mapping of approaches adopted by V4 countries in preparation for the arrival of the 4.0 era. In later phases it will be used to develop a questionnaire for interviews with the main stakeholders in each country and formulation of the final policy paper summarising perspectives of leading stakeholders on the possible impact of 4.0 technologies on the economy, society and the overall political and strategic positions that may develop in our region in future decades.
