Summary/Abstract: In the midst of new talks between the Greek government and its international creditors, it seems that the plight of the Greek people is still very far from the concerns of decision-makers. While the sustainability of the Greek debt is again being questioned, the only way forward, it seems, lies in a compromise between the Greek Government and the creditors, namely the IMF and the EU. The agreement would imply the acceptance of policies that are currently perceived as unfavorable to the interests of creditors. A solution is becoming increasingly necessary in order to prevent the country from sinking into a state of permanent political and economic disintegration.
