Summary/Abstract: Solidarity, one of the key European values, is being put to the test again due to the plan to build "North Stream 2". As the lack of it was also noticeable during the discussion on the reformulation of immigration policies regarding the refugee crisis between, first of all, Germany on the one hand, and certain EU member states from Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Italy, on the other hand, the divergence on another basis between analogous coalitions can represent an important indicator of the future movement and development of the European project.
