Summary/Abstract: The task of reviewing some of the open issues related to the protection of people who, in the public interest, point to crime, corruption, violation of human rights and other illegalities and irregularities, through the prism of experiences in the work of the Civil Committee for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders and Whistleblowers established by the Belgrade Center for Security Policy, implies, once again, for the umpteenth time, facing the unpleasant truth that Serbia has been treating this very important issue for a long time and continuously in a way that cannot be assessed as desirable in any way.
