Summary/Abstract: The starting framework for the Poverty Reduction Strategy (Strategija za smanjenje siromaštva - SSS) of the Republic of Serbia was written in June 2002, and in October 2003 the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the final version of the SSS. After the adoption of the SSS, the implementation process begins, and the countries are obliged to submit annual progress reports to the Boards of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB). Although the government (state) is responsible for the implementation of SSS and monitoring its implementation, civil society also has an interest in monitoring and supervising the entire process.
