Summary/Abstract: This paper asks about the intellectual origin of game theory with regard to fairy tales: what is the underlying concept of game? For this purpose, the hour of birth of homo ludens as homo narrans is examined. It concerns the aesthetics of Immanuel Kant and Friedrich Schiller, the anthropology of Johann Gottfried Herder and the poetics of Jacob Grimm. Different frameworks for the autonomy of the narrative game are presented: epistemological, epochal, national and formal.
