Summary/Abstract: The article elaborates the range and the way of presenting Polish Middle Ages, Renaissance and baroque literature at the Philological-Historical Department of the Main School. In this article we can find some information on the lectures on history of Polish literature of Aleksander Tyszyński and Adam Bełcikowski; the lectures on Polish language and lectures on Polish language and Polish literature destinated to colleges of Józef Przyborowski; the lectures on bibliography of Karol Estreicher; the lectures on history of Józef Kazimierz Plebański and the lectures on Latin literature of Zygmunt Węclewski and Antoni Mierzyński. We can find here the analyze of lecturers’ list, students’ relations, published lectures and other historico-literary studies written by Main School’s academic teachers. The article presents the information about authors’ canon and Old Polish texts of the Main School, the methods of learning the output of old writers, proposed methods of research and the influence of Old Polish to historico-literary and editorial works of professors and students of the Main School.
