Summary/Abstract: In this article I describe my field work in Iringa, Southern Tanzania. The work was concerned with the issues of craft and body. Observing work of tailors helped me to describe precisely what their relationship with fabric looks like. I present the web of connections between tailors’ workshops, shops with fabrics and their customers,which reveals complexity of processes in production of clothes in Iringa.
