Summary/Abstract: Since gaining independence in 1960, English-speaking Cameroon has accused the central authorities of Yaounde of marginalizing this minority part of the country. Beginning with 2016, signs of dissatisfaction in this part of Cameroon intensified,and on October 1, 2017, the most extreme factions announced the independence of the two English-speaking provinces of Cameroon and the birth of the Republic of Ambazonia. The article tries to indicate the causes and development of this crisis.
