Summary/Abstract: Contemporary dialect discurse reflects the results of inter-dialectal and inter-cultural interaction as well as the peculiarities of the mentality of the people, who represent traditional folk culture. The paper is devoted to the metatextual utterences of the folk language speakers in the polyethnic Middile Irtysh region, which demonstrate the understanding and interpretation of their own and others’ speech, their own and others’ nation.
