Summary/Abstract: While revealing indigeneity as a vital feature of traditional folk culture, we pointed out the originality of several phenomena and their components, as well as their durability, in the rural environment. The duration of some components resulted from the rural residents’ choices within the framework of what was then imaginable or possible, and with regards to the economic aspects.
