Summary/Abstract: This article presents an effort to reach into the peculiar poetic world of our teacher Mevlana Galaluddin Rumi through explanation of the meaning of language of states (zabān-e hāl), since leitmotif of Mathnawi– a work which made Mevlana well-known throughout the world – is a story on departure – uprootedness of the soul from its real spiritual homeland, told by naj in its special language of symbols.
