Summary/Abstract: This text starts from a "mytheme", “Bulgaria under the yoke,” brought into the spotlight on the occasion of two events, in 2006 and 2007. Both cases are about historical memory and the debates on memorial laws, legislation on the memory of historical events similar to the laws against Holocaust denial.
