Summary/Abstract: The article describes the history of the term “perfect storm” and its possible aspects of language use. The use of the term in various arts is also analyzed. Its widespread metaphorical use is necessary not only in politics and economics, but also in the medical discourse. The forthcoming publication of the first scientific material in Bulgaria is under the title: “Case with dissection of the thoracic aorta type B, aneurysmal expansion of the thoracic aorta and thrombosis of the aneurysm of the abdominal aorta ‒ Perfect storm in vascular surgery” which reflects the entry of imposed American terminology in the medical language register.
