Summary/Abstract: Pencho Slaveykov was one of the most prominent intellectuals in the Bulgarian history. He went to live in Italy in his later years but he admired Italy much earlier. In this article the authors exposes his major works in the sphere of literature that were inspired by the Italian culture in one way or another.
