Summary/Abstract: This report aims to analyze the extent of digital transformation in the healthcare sector, its role in enhancing the efficiency of medical personnel, and the challenges they face. To achieve this, the concept of “digital transformation” is defined from a theoretical perspective, the degree of implementation of digital solutions in the work of medical staff in Bulgaria is examined, and areas already applied in practice are presented. Future directions for development, as well as challenges facing those employed in the sector, are also outlined.
