Summary/Abstract: This critical review of literature from the past 20 years examines the role of kinetic memory and early sign language (SL) stimulation in children with cochlear implants (CIs). While traditional rehabilitation excludes SL, contemporary research demonstrates that kinetic language experience optimizes neuroplasticity, maintaining active linguistic brain centers during auditory deprivation. This paper systemizes data proving that kinetic encoding fosters subsequent speech production and constructs the neural matrix requisite for successful spoken language acquisition post-implantation.
