Summary/Abstract: The study analyses the legal aspects of the digitalisation of the insurance contract in non-life insurance in Bulgaria – from the pre-contractual phase and conclusion to the performance of obligations thereunder. The applicable legal framework, market practice and comparative examples from the European Union are examined. A discrepancy is identified between technological development and the existing legal framework, giving rise to a need for legislative adaptation and clearer regulation of electronic forms of insurance legal relationships.
