Summary/Abstract: Bulgaria’s water security is exposed to increasing risk that is unevenly distributed across the different River Basin Districts. This study analyzes regional differences in sectoral water use in Bulgaria for the period 2020–2024. Two quantitative coefficients are developed: an intra-regional concentration coefficient and a national share coefficient. Persistent spatial disparities are identified: industry is highly concentrated in the Danube River Basin District, while agriculture is concentrated in the East Aegean River Basin District. Each district exhibits a distinct risk profile. The study demonstrates that water security in Bulgaria is a strongly regional issue.
