Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the role of digital skills as a factor for economic growth and employment through a comparative analysis between Bulgaria and the European Union. The study is based on data from Eurostat, National statistical Institute of Bulgaria, and the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) for the period 2019–2024, applying comparative, statistical, and correlation analysis. The results reveal a positive relationship between the level of digital skills, employment, and economic growth, while also indicating that Bulgaria lags behind the average European indicators.
