Summary/Abstract: This article explores the relationship between mediatized social optimism and citizenship activity of resistance among Ukrainian youth. The study utilized a survey method involving 1439 pupils from 17 regions of Ukraine, applying the author's test of mediatized social optimism (MSO) alongside measures of media creativity and a adapted citizenship behavior questionnaire. The findings indicate a statistically significant positive connection between mediatized social optimism and citizenship activity of resistance, showing that respondents with high levels of MSO and media creativity demonstrate greater readiness to act for social changes and resist information warfare. Conversely, mediatized social pessimism did not show significant differences regarding citizenship activity levels, suggesting that optimists are particularly apt to believe in their influence on societal processes and actively transform reality.
