Summary/Abstract: Doctor Honoris Causa is an honorary title conferred by an academic institution upon an individual for outstanding achievements in their field of activity, achievements and contributions considered to have a major impact on society, culture, and science, both in particular and in general. It is an honorary title that acknowledges the authority of scholarly work carried out over time. The distinguished recipient being celebrated today, the Reverend Professor John Behr, fully embodies the qualities described above. Born on 16 October 1966 in Great Britain, John Behr is a renowned theologian, Christian philosopher, phenomenologist, translator, and historian of Christianity, well known both internationally and within Romanian theological circles. His presence among us is due to the substance, importance, and influence of his scholarly, educational, and, above all, Christian missionary and evangelical work in academic, ecclesiastical, and wider human life.
